Original Kettle Corn

Feeling a little adventurous? This blend of our kettle corn with a hint of buffalo cayenne packs a punch. The buffalo cayenne delivers a bold, zesty kick that doesn’t overpower but has a slow and light burn. Folks also enjoy the sweeter, kettle corn finish for a unique flavor combination.

Caramel Corn

​Light and crunchy with caramelized sugar, this popcorn is a sweet treat favorite.  We coat our popcorn in a caramel glaze that results in a rich, buttery sweetness with a satisfying, brittle crunch. Folks love this warm, toasty flavor that lingers after each bite.​

About Us

Founded by local firefighters in 2012, Palmetto Kettle Corn is a fixture in the Lowcountry with a loyal following. The signature kettle corn flavor is shamelessly addictive with a surprising flavor profile of both salty and sweet, leaving you reaching in the bag again and again… and again.  With 5 other crave-worthy flavors, there’s something for every snacking palate.  Read on to learn more about our story!


A Family Business 

Owned and operated by Michael, a former firefighter with the Bluffton Fire District and HHI Fire and Rescue, and his wife, Krystal, a former middle school math educator in Beaufort County for over 18 years, this is a family-owned business built on serving the community, faith, and good ole-fashioned hard work!
 
Starting out at local farmers markets and eventually growing to state events, craft fairs, and the SC State Fair, Krystal and Michael have built the business on meeting customers where they are and attending hundreds of events! They also reached out to schools and have supported fundraisers, athletic teams, and assemble small treat bags for special occasions.  ​

How Our Popcorn is Made

We pop mushroom style kernels in small batches using a 160-quart propane fueled kettle. We finish it with the perfect combination of sugar and salt.  It’s a simple and unglamorous process, but the result is delicious.  

We also like to think we have a lot of fun while making it! 

Our Success

Palmetto Kettle Corn has 13 years under our belt!  Grown because of consistent, regular public appearances at community events and a friendly demeanor when serving guests, we genuinely enjoy small business ownership and take pride in what we do.   We know it’s important to leave a lasting impression with conversation, friendliness, and gratitude.  That goes a very long way in continued success!
